Food was delicious. Everything was flavorful, and juicy yet tender. The worst part of our visit was the atrocious service was received. We often waited on end to be served. Whether it was for our next course, or for the bill. The servers are very non attentive here, and because of that, it ruined our experience. Food was good though, but because of the lack of service, I won't be returning. Took over 2 hrs to have our lunch, which I deem unacceptable.
we went for family dinner at La Grotta restaurant last friday. All of us enjoyed the beautiful dinner they took a little time but it's worth it
It is very bad for some people to be critizing with so much hate this beautiful place.I go there often and actually own a business on main street. For this person to be complaining about their food especially about a caprese salad which is the most basic dish to make is the lowest you can get. By reading her review you can just tell that money was a problem for them.Everything is made from scratch and now at days you don't see that very often. It is truly an authentic Italian Restaurant. Beginning from their herb garden ,homemade breads, own desserts sauces and so on. Try it for yourself and you will not be disappointed.
The good reviews for this place are a JOKE. This is one of the worst excuses for a restaurant I have ever experienced. Food terrible (both quality and taste), and the restaurant dirty (dried sauce splatters). I was disappointed, because it is such a charming setting for a restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we saw that there were only a few tables that were full. Which was fine, considering we were there a little earlier. However...when the food came, we were all looking at our plates as though it was some sort of a joke. The Caprese salads were made with stale (apparently) store bought MINI bocconcini, and one piece sliced into miniature pieces. The cheese wasn't even fresh. Caprese is one of my personal favourites, in that it is a simple dish, but requires FRESH ingredients to make it delicious. I make a better one at home. In fact, anyone can. Service was okay, but the mains were not much better than the pathetic salads. It felt to us like these people didn't care about creating a positive experience for their patrons. I do not understand how they can accept money for what they serve. Not acceptable. Don't go here if you don't want to waste your hard-earned money, and don't believe the "positive" reviews. Clearly written by the clueless owners.
Thank you La Grotta for taking care of our table. The food is always consistant and tasty.I was very surprised to read the last review. Do you really believe that the chef would allow that? I know that the place is mostly busy and if the place was empty as the previous reviewer wrote,do you think that they would still be open ? The chef is a world champion in cooking and he has his medals displayed at the restaurant for everyone to see!
