The worst service and rudest management anywhere! I just spent lunch (or tried to) at Cafe Nervosa. We ordered, and waited, and waited, and waited. People to the left and right of us got served, and we just waited for our food. We spoke to our waiter, he said the kitchen is busy due to large groups (but that didn't explain why others got their food). We spoke to the manager, and he told us 'If you want to eat, then you wait". The manager was rude, arrogant, and snarky. Our food finally arrived. Looked beautiful. Tasted nice; but we had to get back to work after having waited so long, that we just got up and left. WE WILL NEVER RETURN!
The evening spent at Caf? Nervosa was time well spent. When we arrived the person at the door made us feel like we had walked into an Italian family home. We were offered 3 choices for patios which were all beautiful and had excellent views of the action in Yorkville. The service was great, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was welcoming. I can?t wait to get back to Toronto to return and try some more dishes.
I love Cafe Nervosa, every time I go there I am treated like family. Their salads are great, especially the seafood salad, but my favourite is the mixed platter of appetizers that I like to share with friends over a great glass of Shiraz. My favourite place to sit is on the second floor patio - I really believe it is one of the best patios in the city. Great views of Yorkville, especially nice on a warm summer night. All in all, I hightly recommend this place, not only for the food, but for the amazing family atmosphere.
The food was okay. The service is a different story. My employer and I waited quite a while to get served and our pizzas were a little on the cold side. When we had finished eating we were still polishing off a bottle of mineral water when the host had abruptly told us that he needed our table of two for another party. We were only there for an hour at that point and had just finished eating our $15 pizzas! I suggest taking a $50 lunch elsewhere.

Tucked away on Yorkville Avenue, Trattoria Nervosa is a favourite of Torontonians who live for wine and Italian cuisine. The beautiful terrace makes Trattoria Nervosa the perfect spot to have a glass of pinot outside with your lunch or dinner in the summer, and the laid-back, elegant ambiance of the interior make it equally ideal for a bottle of Bordeaux in the winter. The lunch rush can get busy very quickly, so be sure to get there early.

The surroundings are simple and elegant while still retaining some rustic charm, a characteristic that carries over to their pizzas. They serve traditional thin-crust pies baked at super-high temperatures to ensure a wonderfully blistered crust, all perfectly topped with things like prosciutto, basil and fresh mozzarella.

The pizza and pasta dishes are sophisticated yet entirely accessible and the wine list offers plenty of bottles to share. Even pop superstar Beyonce enjoyed a lunchtime date here with her husband Jay-Z when she was in Toronto on tour.
