We have lived in the neighbourhood for the past 16 years and have seen first hand the wonderful changes the Black dog has gone through. Keep it up George! You're an asset to the neighbourhhood.
Finally we have a place that our WHOLE family is welcome to.
The old owner had too many 'distractions'.
The food and service is better than ever. We ordered our dinner and drinks and EVERYTHING was top notch!!

Being a frequent diner at The Black Dog Pub, last evening I brought a friend there who had never been before. She was as impressed with the food and service as I was on my first visit here, and as I continue to be. Everything we ordered was great, in fact we had a difficult time trying to choose from the delicious array of feature entrees. Great service, as usual, and the attentiveness of the owner, George, was as it always is. This is an owner who truly enjoys his business. The staff are always busy, but never too busy to stop and chat with customers, they are intelligent, informed and have great personalities and sense of humour.
Will keep on going back!!!
Well, I must say that I am first off, disappointed. This was pub an icon of sorts and my husband and I have always enjoyed this lovely place over the last 10 years.
What happened?
Our food was mediocre, the new owner only likes the girls (some things don't change), service was good. Oh well.

Don't order the food and only go there at night to have a drink. It's still good for that!
