If you ever felt compelled to join a street gang and become a part of something bigger than yourself, Artgang Montréal might be the kind of company your mom won't lose sleep over. "We're not cutthroat and we're not trying to bring anybody down," explains Nicolas Oligny, a muralist turned gallery coordinator for new-kid-on-the-block Artgang Montréal. "It's very pleasant to work with pleasant people, and I think that's part of the work environment we have here."
Far from creating fractures in Montreal's artistic community, Artgang Montréal has been attracting talented artists, musicians and clients to their dynamic St. Hubert Street headquarters and gaining a grass-roots reputation as a cutting-edge boutique, live venue and art gallery. "Our hope is that people discover something new when they come here," continues Nicolas. Somebody who comes to buy a cap might leave having discovered a new artist and vice versa. "That sort of cross pollination of cultures is very exciting for us."
Artgang is a creative space that supports the growth of artists and artisans from our fine city. An urban art gallery, unique event producer and streetwear shop, Artgang Montreal gives new life to the sometimes dreary Plaza Saint-Hubert.
