We are a small church with a mixture of young and older people and we are culturally diverse. Knob Hill was opened in the mid-1950's. Knob Hill United Church has run a community day care since the late 1970's. We have a lively choir, several active groups and plenty of opportunity for warm fellowship. A new children's Christian Education program is held on Sunday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 am. There are crafts, stories, games and fun!! WHY DOES THE TRADITION OF A WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICE EXIT IN CHRISTIANITY? It's a pattern copied from Jesus. As God is a communicator with the human race, Jesus joined established patterns of weekly God time in Synagogue. Jesus showed us the human identity is nurtured, and affirmed when it communicates with God, and with other people. Community life is part of worship. Protecting that, being thankful for that, and educating ourselves in what it means to be in communication with God, is what happens in worship. That's what church is there for.more...See more text
