Pig Out BBQ in Pickering boasts a menu of delicious American-style BBQ with a southern flavour. Regulars who have tasted the real thing tell owner John Yuen that he has his dishes spot on.
“They say it tastes like the southern style American food. Ribs, brisket and pulled pork sandwiches are some of the favourites and we serve extras like coleslaw and corn bread, which give it all that southern touch.”
John says that customers have dropped in form as far away as Ottawa and Hamilton looking for that unique BBQ taste that they can’t find in their own neighbourhood.
Came in there without reading any reviews or advertisement. We expected an old school deli/diner. There is not many family owned restaurants in Pickering, so we decided to give it a try. Oh boy were we surprised! this was hands down the best BBQ I have had in years, it had that real smoky flavor that just makes you crave more and more. The service and the facility are also very nice, but the food is so good that the rest doesn't even matter! I will definitely be back very often
I've been to the Pig Out several times and have also sent my colleagues from work there. The food is absolutely fantastic! Finally, a great place to eat in Pickering! We've sampled everything from the menu, and even the simple Mac N Cheese is real noodles and real cheese. The portions are almost too much but the prices are extremely competitive to other establishments. I will go back again, and it is becoming a very popular place to eat. Every time I go there, it seems it is busier.
I strongly suggest any chicken dinner, or the ribs...its all delicious!
